The Young And Restless Full EpisodeAbout the Show:

The Young and the Restless is an American TV drama by Lee Phillip Bell  and William J. Bell .The Drama focused on two families , the working class Foster family and the wealthy Brooks family. Over the years the Baldwin-Fishers, winters, and Newmans were introduced. The Young and the Restless is highest rated American TV drama now days.
The Young and the Restless centers on the saga between two prosperous families (the Newmans and the Abbotts) in the cosmetics industry. Head of the Newman clan is Victor Newman, the pompous, cavorting billionaire and his wife Nikki; and working the Abbott show is Jack Abbott, the irresponsible, playboy CEO and his sister Ashley. The major part of the show is centered on the competition between the two companies: Victor’s Newman and the Abbotts’ Jabot.
Leslie and Lorie fought over first Brad Eliot. This kind of love triangle stretched into four after Lance’s sea captain brother Lucas arrived in town. Although Lorie in the beginning was little more than the bad girl who tormented real sister Leslie, she became a lead in her own right as she battled her sister over custody of Leslie’s child Brooks and then battled her psychotic mother-in-law Vanessa.
One other love triangle formed between Chris, Snapper, and Sally. Desperate to gain an advantage, Sally threw away her birth control pills and got pregnant by Snapper. Not knowing that he was the dad, Snapper proposed to Bob. When they saw this individual was the father of Sally’s child, Chris endured a miscarriage. Sally moved out of town.
Some other stories included Bill getting back to town and remarrying Liz before dying of cancers; Jennifer planning to divorce Stuart and marry her former lover and Liz Foster’s brother Dr. Generic Henderson, who was showed be Lorie’s biological father; and Stuart and Liz marrying after Jennifer died of cancers.
One of many show’s first longest storylines, was the competition between wealthy socialite, a young manicurist Jill Foster Abbott and Katherine Chancellor. Cooper was introduced by Bell when the ratings were low; the storyline between Jill and Kay shot to popularity, so Bell made the decision to exploit this recognition by crafting a story putting her against Jill.
Jill went to work as Kay’s manicurist and associate to help her troubled family settle the expenses. Kay was a boozy matron trapped in a loveless marriage to Phillip Chancellor II . Phillip and Jill fell in love, but in 1976, after divorce, Katherine picked him up at the airport, and in an attempt to get rid of both Phillip and himself, drove the car off a cliff. Phillip married Jill and bequeathed her and their love child his fortune ,on his deathbed,. In the beginning, Kay offered Jill $1, 000, for the baby, but ended up being getting a judge to declare that Jill and Phillip’s marriage was illegitimate since Kay was drunk when signing her divorce papers. Since Jill nor her son got any rights to an inheritance, the baby was legally given the name “Phillip Foster” rather than “Phillip Chancellor III”. As a result of the judgment, an embittered Jill became a vixen and the two ladies started out a strong rivalry, blaming the other person for the death of Phillip II.
A controversial fixture on the show for a few decades was Bell’s daughter, Lauralee. Lauralee debuted in 1983 in somewhat part as Christine “Cricket” Blair. As Lauralee grew up, her personality became more and more prominent, to the point where in 1988 story lines had four different men deeply in love with her. Longtime lover favorite Terry Lester, who played Jack Abbott, kept the show in 1989 and blamed her to some extent, claiming that the extreme airtime given to Crick info drowned out your other artists.
As other soaps in the 1980s or 1990s, The Young and the Restless avoided preachy social issues. Whenever they did touch on such issues of homeless crisis or AIDS, it was only as a plot device by facts and figures included for effect. For example, when Ashley aborted Victor’s child in the 1980s, any viewers or scholars who might have appeared for a significant story on advantages and disadvantages of abortion might have recently been disappointed. Ashley only aborted her baby because Victor’s wife Nikki was then presumed to be terminally ill, and Ashley do not want to cause her pain. After learning of her abortion, Victor ripped her to shreds, leading to a devastated Ashley to lose her mind and wind up in an insane asylum.
